History Comes Alive – Social Science Exhibition

Tender Care Home organized its first ever S.Sc. exhibition on 18th November 2017in the school premises. Under the banner “History Comes Alive” it showcased an array of events.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Chairman, Wg Cdr U. D. Kekre, (Retd), Director Mrs. Shailaja Kekre, Principal Mrs. Sheetal Kekre, Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Patil and the faculty members of S. Sc. Department.


The shows started with dance performances of five states- Ghumar of Rajasthan, Garba- of Gujarat, Bhangra- of Punjab, Dhunuchi nach of West Bengal and Lawni of Maharashtra. A documentary on “Know your city” was presented by class IX students.

 

The school basketball court was transformed in to a walk through model of “City of 52 Gates – Aurangabad” with scintillating model of all its monuments and buildings. The most eye catching amongst them were Prozone, Best Price, Baba Petrol Pump, High Court, Ellora Caves to name a few.


Past was recreated through five short skits enacted by the students of class IX and X on prominent topics like Chanakya, Shivaji Maharaj v/s Afzal Khan, Jallianwala Bagh massacre, Swami Vivekanand’s address at Chicago, Mahtma Gandhi’s train incident in South Africa.


The auditorium displayed projects and monuments named “Walking through time”. Role plays of 34 eminent personalities were put up by young Tender Carians to bring history alive.

Selfie points and game zones viz.. Map Games, BMI, Market System, Banking, Blood Groups Information, were set at different places.


Anchoring was done by school head boy and head girl while our student council played the roles of tourist guides. The exhibition was immensely praised by all parents HOD S.Sc.Dept. Mrs. Swati Thorhatte, HOD under study Mrs. Sanjivini Puranik, and their team were congratulated by the school management, Principal and TCH staff for presenting such a grand show.
